Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts submitted to Journal of Data, Computation, and Information Systems (JDCIS) must be original works, not previously published, and not under review elsewhere.

  • Articles may be written in Indonesian or English with clear, concise, and academic language.

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review before acceptance.

  • No publication fees or Article Processing Charges (APC) — publication in JDCIS is free of charge.

  • All published papers are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

2. Types of Manuscripts

JDCIS accepts the following article types:

  • Research Articles — original research results.

  • Review Articles — comprehensive and systematic literature reviews.

  • Case Studies — reports of practical implementation or application of methods/technologies.

3. Manuscript Format

  • Paper Size: A4 (210 × 297 mm)

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt

  • Spacing: Single (1.0)

  • Length: 6–15 pages

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (.tex)

Manuscript Structure:

  1. Title — concise and informative (max. 15 words).

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation — include full name, institutional affiliation, and corresponding author’s email.

  3. Abstract and Keywords

    • Written in both English and Indonesian.

    • Abstract: 150–250 words.

    • Keywords: 3–5 words.

  4. Introduction

  5. Related Works / Literature Review

  6. Methods

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion

  9. Acknowledgment (optional)

  10. References — formatted using APA Style (7th edition).

4. Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).

  • Each figure/table must include a brief, descriptive caption.

  • Minimum resolution for images: 300 dpi.

5. Citations and References

  • All citations in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

  • Use APA Style (7th edition) for all references.

  • Recommended tools: Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

6. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted online via the OJS submission system of JDCIS.

  • The editorial workflow includes:

    1. Initial editorial screening,

    2. Double-blind peer review,

    3. Author revision,

    4. Final editorial decision.

7. Publication Ethics

JDCIS upholds academic integrity and strictly prohibits plagiarism, data fabrication, and citation manipulation. All submissions will be screened for plagiarism using reliable software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
